SC Formula (Shark Cartilage) Information and Usage

Nature's Sunshine SC Formula contains shark cartilage and reishi mushroom which work together to support a healthy immune system and also healthy joints.

Shark cartilage belongs to a category of carbohydrates called mucopolysaccharides. In addition, it contains more than 20 percent protein. Over 4 percent is a component called chondroitin sulfate. In addition, shark cartilage is packed with essential amino acids, phosphorus and calcium. The shark cartilage in this formula has been freeze dried and combined with the finest reishi mushroom.

The cartilage used in this formula comes from sharks especially caught for the purposes of human consumption and are not endangered.

Reishi mushroom has been used for a long time in Chinese herbal medicine and is included in many different Chinese herbal blends. Reishi mushroom is an adaptogen, which is an herb used to support the body and protect against the degenerative effects of stress from various sources. It contains nutrients and antioxidants which may support bodily health by improving circulation and boosting immunity.
